Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN networks including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and PRTG to identify and resolve issues
- Implement security protocols including VPNs, ACLs, and intrusion detection systems
- Document network topologies, configurations, and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with cloud teams to hybridize on-premise and cloud infrastructure
- Provide Tier 3 support during network outages and perform root cause analysis
- Train junior technicians on network best practices and emerging technologies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in enterprise network administration with Cisco/Juniper certifications
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and virtualization technologies
- Strong troubleshooting skills with experience using packet capture tools (Wireshark)
- Knowledge of SD-WAN solutions and network automation (Python/Ansible)
- Valid CompTIA Network+ or equivalent certification required
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNet) preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in occasional server room environments
- Strong communication skills for client-facing documentation and presentations
