Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using industry-standard tools like SolarWinds and PRTG
- Troubleshoot complex network issues with minimal downtime (SLA-driven environment)
- Implement security protocols to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities
- Document network configurations and create technical documentation for all changes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize network efficiency
- Manage vendor relationships for hardware procurement and support services
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience with Cisco/Juniper devices
- CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification required (CCNP preferred)
- Expertise in TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Strong knowledge of network security principles (firewalls, IDS/IPS, ACLs)
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools and performance analysis
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional on-call rotation
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Valid Colorado driver's license for occasional site visits
