Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Cisco/Juniper network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using SolarWinds/NPM tools to proactively resolve latency/security issues
- Implement and troubleshoot VPN connections, VLANs, and wireless enterprise solutions
- Document network topologies using Visio and maintain up-to-date IPAM records
- Collaborate with cybersecurity team on threat mitigation and compliance audits (HIPAA/NIST)
- Provide Tier-3 support for escalated incidents and mentor junior technicians
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT/Network Engineering or 3+ years equivalent experience
- CCNA certification required; CCNP/Cybersecurity+ preferred
- Proficiency in TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and VLAN configuration
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco Meraki wireless systems
- Strong analytical skills for diagnosing complex network outages
- Excellent communication abilities for client documentation and training
- Valid driver's license for occasional on-site client visits
