Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Wireshark to ensure optimal uptime
- Troubleshoot network issues and implement proactive solutions to minimize downtime
- Document network configurations and create/update technical documentation
- Collaborate with cybersecurity team to implement security protocols and vulnerability patches
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support to resolve complex network-related user issues
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement and service level agreements
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Network Engineering or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper network equipment
- CCNA/CCNP or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs)
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS/Azure) and SD-WAN solutions
- Strong analytical skills and ability to diagnose complex network issues
- Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and user training
- Valid driver's license for occasional on-site client visits
