Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN networks, routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues within SLA timelines
- Implement security protocols to protect against cyber threats
- Document network configurations and create technical documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy network upgrades
- Provide 24/7 on-call support for critical infrastructure incidents
- Optimize network traffic using QoS and load balancing techniques
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Network Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper networking equipment
- CompTIA Network+ or CCNA certification required
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN protocols
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS/Azure) preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional on-call duties
