Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) hardware and software.
- Perform routine network maintenance, audits, and upgrades to ensure maximum network uptime and performance.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network connectivity issues, hardware failures, and security breaches.
- Manage and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points (Wi-Fi).
- Assist in the design and implementation of network security protocols and disaster recovery plans.
- Document network topology changes, cable management systems, and technical procedures.
- Collaborate with the IT support team to resolve escalated user tickets and hardware issues.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Valid CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in network administration or technical support.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching protocols.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as Wireshark or SolarWinds.
- Ability to lift and carry network equipment and cabling materials (up to 50 lbs) as required.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
