Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Gather, clean, and organize large datasets from various internal and external sources to ensure accuracy for analysis.
- Equity Analysis: Assist in the evaluation of equity option performance and market trends to provide actionable insights to the finance team.
- Reporting & Visualization: Create compelling dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau and Power BI to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- SQL Querying: Write and optimize SQL queries to extract specific data points and support ad-hoc reporting needs.
- Market Research: Conduct entry-level research to support financial modeling and forecasting efforts.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with marketing and operations teams to identify key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of data sources, processes, and analytical methodologies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and basic knowledge of SQL or Python.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to interpret data, spot trends, and solve complex problems.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex data to non-technical audiences.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy when handling financial data and equity options data.
- Tools: Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker) is a plus.
