Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events within our SIEM platform (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel).
- Investigate potential security incidents, identify root causes, and assist in the remediation process.
- Log and document all security incidents, investigations, and system configurations accurately.
- Assist in the deployment and management of endpoint security agents (antivirus, EDR).
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans and support patch management processes.
- Collaborate with the IT Help Desk team to resolve access issues and secure user environments.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Network Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Interest Level: Demonstrated strong interest in cybersecurity, information security, or network defense.
- Technical Basics: Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and basic networking concepts (IP addressing, ports, protocols).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Certifications: Security+ or CompTIA Network+ is a plus, but not required.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings to stakeholders.
