Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and system logs for potential security threats and anomalies using SIEM tools.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and participate in penetration testing exercises under supervision.
- Respond to and document security incidents, including minor security alerts escalated from security tools.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO).
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and defense strategies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field is a plus.
- No prior professional experience required—we value potential, curiosity, and a strong willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
