Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats using SIEM tools
- Assist in vulnerability scanning and penetration testing activities
- Document security incidents and maintain compliance reports
- Collaborate with senior analysts on incident response protocols
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and trends
- Contribute to security policy development and implementation
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, DNS)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- CompTIA Security+ or similar certification (preferred, not required)
- Proficiency with Windows/Linux operating systems
- Willingness to obtain industry certifications within first year
