Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Assist in the configuration and management of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs.
- Conduct basic vulnerability assessments and penetration testing simulations under supervision.
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate logs for audit compliance.
- Support the development and testing of incident response plans.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure secure network architecture implementation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- Fundamental understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI Model, DNS, HTTP).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- High attention to detail and a strong ethical compass.
- Willingness to obtain industry-recognized security certifications within the first year.
