Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing network traffic for suspicious activities and potential security breaches.
- Support the IT security team in implementing and maintaining security protocols and firewalls.
- Conduct basic vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises under supervision.
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed logs for incident response reports.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to identify weaknesses in current security architectures.
- Participate in cybersecurity awareness training and awareness campaigns for staff.
- Help maintain and update the organization's asset inventory and security documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Fresh graduate or career changer with a keen interest in information security.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (if applicable).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to pursue industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+.
