Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activities and anomalies.
- Perform log analysis and correlation to identify potential security incidents.
- Assist in the investigation and triage of security alerts and tickets.
- Contribute to the documentation of security incidents and response procedures.
- Support vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security patches and configurations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or Network+ are highly preferred.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI model, DNS, HTTP).
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command line interfaces.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
