As a Junior Cybersecurity Analyst, you'll work alongside industry veterans in our state-of-the-art Security Operations Center (SOC), gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools while contributing to real-world threat detection and incident response. Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and analyze network traffic using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Document security incidents and assist with forensic investigations
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing under guidance
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
- Assist with compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Contribute to threat intelligence research and reporting
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field OR equivalent coursework/certifications
- Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing)
- Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to learn technical concepts quickly and adapt to new technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CompTIA Security+ or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government contracts
