Your Day-to-Day:
As an IT Support Trainee, you will be the first point of contact for technical issues, helping employees resolve hardware and software problems efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripheral issues for end-users in a fast-paced office environment.
- Provide exceptional technical support via phone, email, and remote desktop tools.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of workstations, printers, and mobile devices.
- Monitor and respond to incoming service tickets in our ticketing system to ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with the senior IT team to maintain and improve internal IT policies and procedures.
- Perform routine system backups, updates, and security patches under supervision.
- Document all technical issues and resolutions to create a knowledge base for the team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic understanding of computer networking concepts, IP addressing, and hardware components.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to diagnosing technical issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Willingness to obtain industry-recognized certifications (such as CompTIA A+) during your tenure.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
