As a Trainee, you will work closely with our senior technical team to gain hands-on experience in a real-world setting. You will be exposed to the latest technologies and methodologies in IT support, helping you build a solid foundation for a long-term career in technology.
Responsibilities
- Provide Technical Assistance: Deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Hardware & Software Deployment: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Network Support: Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues to ensure business continuity.
- Asset Management: Maintain accurate records of IT assets and inventory using our ticketing systems.
- User Training: Conduct training sessions and workshops to help employees maximize their productivity with our software tools.
- Security Compliance: Assist in enforcing IT security policies and ensuring data protection standards are met.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows & macOS) and networking concepts.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+ certification is a plus but not required for this entry-level position.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose technical problems and provide logical solutions.
- Reliability: Must be willing to work flexible hours and travel within the Durham office as needed.
