In this role, you will be the first point of contact for internal technical support, ensuring our team stays productive and connected.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 technical support to employees via phone, email, and in-person, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktop computers, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Manage and update computer inventory and asset tracking systems.
- Monitor and maintain the local area network (LAN) and ensure connectivity standards are met.
- Document all technical issues, solutions, and user interactions in the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement new software updates and security patches.
- Perform routine system backups and data recovery procedures as directed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and network concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical problems independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and obtain industry certifications (CompTIA A+ or Network+).
- Valid driver’s license (required for occasional on-site troubleshooting in remote Anchorage areas).
