Join NexusTech Solutions' award-winning IT department as an IT Support Trainee! We're seeking passionate individuals to kickstart their tech careers in Stockton, CA. This full-time trainee role includes all necessary equipment provided – laptops, tools, and software – so you can focus on learning. You'll receive hands-on training in network administration, hardware troubleshooting, and system security while supporting enterprise clients across the Central Valley. Our collaborative environment offers mentorship from senior engineers and a clear path to full technician status upon completion of our 6-month program.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues for desktop/laptop systems
- Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure components
- Provide Tier 1 technical support via phone, email, and in-person
- Document incident tickets and maintain asset inventory systems
- Assist with cybersecurity protocols and system updates
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT projects
- Participate in ongoing training to develop technical skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+) preferred
- Basic understanding of Windows/macOS operating systems
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to lift 20 lbs and work in various office environments
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Pass background check and drug screening
