Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-level security solutions including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Lead incident response activities including threat hunting, forensic analysis, and remediation of security breaches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across cloud/on-premise infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies, playbooks, and compliance frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into DevOps pipelines
- Mentor junior analysts and conduct security awareness training for employees
- Monitor SIEM alerts and proactively identify emerging threats using threat intelligence feeds
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles with hands-on incident response experience
- Certified CISSP, CEH, or GIAC certification (preferred)
- Expertise in NIST frameworks, ISO 27001, and compliance regulations (HIPAA, GDPR)
- Proficiency in security tools: Splunk, Palo Alto Networks, AWS/Azure security services
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) and familiarity with automation tools
- Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate complex security concepts to stakeholders
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
