Responsibilities
- Architect multi-year strategic roadmaps focusing on 2026+ horizons using foresight methodologies like scenario planning and horizon scanning
- Analyze emerging technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI) and their disruptive potential across industries
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, design, and product teams to prototype future concepts
- Develop and present future scenario briefings to C-suite executives and board members with data-driven recommendations
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, technologists, and academic researchers for trend intelligence
- Mentor a team of 5+ junior futurists while establishing departmental KPIs for innovation impact
- Author annual 'Future State' reports published in industry-leading publications
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Strategic Foresight, Future Studies, Technology Forecasting, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years in strategy, innovation, or futurist roles with Fortune 500 or hyper-growth startups
- Proven expertise in foresight methodologies (Delphi, STEEP, cross-impact matrices)
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Exceptional presentation skills with executive-level storytelling capabilities
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation (white papers, books, keynotes)
- Experience leading teams of 5+ and managing multi-million dollar innovation budgets
