What you'll achieve:
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives identifying 2026+ tech and societal trends
- Develop scenario-based strategic frameworks for enterprise resilience
- Translate foresight into R&D priorities and product innovation pipelines
- Establish thought leadership through industry publications and keynotes
Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning across biotech, AI, quantum computing, and climate tech
- Develop 10-year strategic scenarios for board-level decision-making
- Design innovation incubators for emerging business models
- Partner with R&D to prototype future-state solutions
- Lead cross-functional workshops on exponential technologies
- Author annual Future State reports for investor relations
- Advise on M&A opportunities in nascent markets
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, futures research, or equivalent
- Proven experience translating foresight into commercial strategy
- Expertise in systems thinking and scenario planning methodologies
- Deep knowledge of emerging tech ecosystems (Web3, AGI, synthetic biology)
- Published thought leadership in futurism/innovation
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or MBA
- Experience advising Fortune 500 C-suite on transformation
