Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market evolution and industry 4.0 trends
- Identify and assess emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) for strategic integration
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, product, and design teams
- Conduct competitive analysis and market forecasting for disruptive tech adoption
- Present strategic vision to C-suite and board members with data-driven recommendations
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators for R&D collaboration
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget with ROI-focused technology investment strategies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, product innovation, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of forecasting tech trends and translating them into business value
- Expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI/ML, IoT, blockchain, etc.)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with scenario planning and technology lifecycle management
- Exceptional communication skills for articulating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- PMP or similar strategic planning certification preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating successful technology commercialization initiatives
