Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 3-year technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market projections
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum, AR/VR, neuromorphic computing)
- Collaborate with C-suite to integrate future tech into corporate strategy
- Manage $2M+ R&D budgets for prototyping breakthrough solutions
- Publish quarterly industry foresight reports for executive stakeholders
- Mentor innovation teams in agile future-planning methodologies
- Represent company at global tech summits (Web Summit, CES, etc.)
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ in future tech planning
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Proven track record of launching market-defining products
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Published thought leadership in IEEE or Harvard Business Review
- Fluency in strategic foresight frameworks (Delphi, Scenario Planning)
- Experience managing distributed R&D teams across 3+ timezones
- Security clearance or willingness to obtain (FedRAMP preferred)
