About the Role
You'll spearhead cross-functional R&D projects, emerging technology roadmaps, and strategic partnerships that redefine industry standards. This senior leadership position requires a blend of technical expertise and strategic foresight to position Nexus at the vanguard of technological evolution.
Responsibilities
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum computing, AI ethics, and biometric interfaces
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Collaborate with MIT, Stanford, and other innovation partners on joint ventures
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets and resource allocation for pilot projects
- Present strategic blueprints to C-suite and board stakeholders quarterly
- Mentor cross-functional teams in emerging technology adoption
- File patents for breakthrough innovations (target: 3-5 annually)
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or related field
- 10+ years in tech leadership with 5+ in emerging technologies
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proven track record scaling tech startups to $100M+ valuations
- Expertise in AI/ML frameworks and quantum algorithms
- Experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) or VC funding
- Deep network within IEEE, ACM, or similar tech consortia
