Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Cisco Prime
- Resolve network outages and security incidents with SLA-driven urgency
- Document network changes and create technical documentation
- Collaborate with cloud teams to hybrid network solutions
- Implement VLANs, VPNs, and wireless networks for enterprise environments
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience
- CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification required
- Proficiency in Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto technologies
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and BGP protocols
- Experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Python)
- Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotations
- Valid Alaska driver's license for occasional site visits
- BS in Computer Science or related field preferred
