We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Equity Options Data Analyst to join our elite weekend operations team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a Remote capacity, supporting critical financial markets data processing from the comfort of your home, with a specific focus on the Washington DC financial district.
As a Weekend Shift Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in validating pricing models, analyzing volatility indices, and ensuring the integrity of equity options data for our trading desk. Responsibilities
- Options Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of equity options pricing, Greeks, and volatility trends during weekend market closures.
- Data Validation: Validate and reconcile large datasets of equity options trades against exchange feeds to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Reporting: Generate and present high-level weekly performance reports to the trading floor, highlighting key anomalies.
- Model Support: Assist in backtesting new options pricing models and adjusting parameters based on market data.
- Communication: Collaborate cross-functionally with the DC-based trading team to clarify complex data points.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial data analysis, specifically focusing on Equity Options or derivatives.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas/NumPy), and experience with Bloomberg Terminal or similar financial data terminals.
- Schedule: Must be available to work weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Tools: Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
