Responsibilities
- Quantitative Modeling: Develop, test, and maintain advanced statistical models to analyze equity options pricing and volatility trends.
- Data Mining & Cleaning: Extract, transform, and load massive datasets from various market sources, ensuring high data integrity for analysis.
- Risk Assessment: Monitor and evaluate market risks associated with equity options portfolios, providing recommendations for mitigation strategies.
- Reporting & Visualization: Create interactive dashboards and comprehensive reports using tools like Tableau or Power BI to communicate complex data findings to stakeholders.
- Strategy Optimization: Collaborate with traders to refine trading strategies based on historical data performance and predictive analytics.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all data handling and reporting adhere to SEC regulations and internal compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and Python (Pandas, NumPy) for data manipulation and modeling.
- Financial Knowledge: Deep understanding of options pricing models (Black-Scholes, Binomial), Greeks, and market mechanics.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial data analysis, specifically within equity derivatives or commodities.
- Tools: Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and enterprise databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate complex data into simple, actionable insights.
