Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets related to equity options trading volume, open interest, and implied volatility.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of automated dashboards to monitor market movements in real-time.
- Perform quantitative analysis to identify patterns and anomalies in option pricing and trading activity.
- Collaborate with the trading desk to provide data-driven support for decision-making processes.
- Document data methodologies and create technical reports for internal stakeholders.
- Research market trends and competitor activity to enhance our analytical models.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (0-2 years of experience).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and macros.
- Familiarity with SQL or Python for data extraction and manipulation is a strong plus.
- Basic understanding of financial concepts, specifically equity options, derivatives, or technical analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical teams.
