As a night shift Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring data integrity and providing real-time insights to our trading desks. Your work will directly influence investment decisions and risk management strategies.
Responsibilities
- Perform rigorous analysis of equity options pricing, volume, and open interest data to identify market trends and anomalies.
- Develop and maintain automated SQL queries and Python scripts to extract, clean, and process large-scale financial datasets.
- Create dynamic visualizations and interactive dashboards (using Tableau or PowerBI) to communicate complex data insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the trading team to validate data models and ensure alignment with market expectations.
- Monitor and report on daily market movements, specifically focusing on volatility and Greeks analysis.
- Identify process inefficiencies in data pipelines and implement robust solutions to improve throughput and accuracy.
- Maintain detailed documentation for all data models, queries, and analytical processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in financial data analysis, specifically within the Equity Options or derivatives market.
- Strong proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and Python (Pandas, NumPy) for data manipulation and analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and complex modeling.
- Experience with financial modeling and a deep understanding of options pricing models (Black-Scholes, binomial models).
- Must be available and willing to work the night shift (e.g., 5:00 PM - 2:00 AM EST).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a high-pressure environment.
