Responsibilities
- Monitor and secure equity options trading systems, networks, and databases against cyber threats
- Investigate security incidents, implement remediation, and maintain forensic logs for financial systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on trading platforms and option pricing engines
- Collaborate with traders and IT to ensure compliance with SEC/FINRA cybersecurity regulations
- Develop incident response playbooks specific to equity options trading disruptions
- Stay current on threat intelligence affecting financial markets and implement proactive controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Finance-related field
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with financial services or trading systems
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CEH with financial domain specialization
- Deep understanding of equity options trading workflows, market data feeds, and order execution systems
- Proficiency in security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR) and financial industry protocols
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized trading applications
