Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Processing: Assist in gathering and cleaning raw data from various market sources to ensure accuracy for equity options analysis.
- Market Reporting: Generate daily and weekly performance reports, visualizing data trends using Excel and SQL.
- Trend Analysis: Identify patterns and anomalies in equity option pricing and volume data to support junior trading decisions.
- Database Management: Maintain and update internal databases, ensuring all data entry is precise and up-to-date.
- Collaboration: Communicate findings to the data science team and assist in the development of new analytical tools.
- Compliance Support: Help ensure that all data handling practices adhere to relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- No Experience Required: We are specifically hiring for no experience roles; a strong willingness to learn and a hunger for data is more important than past work history.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is required. Familiarity with SQL or Python is a plus but not required.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies in numerical data.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present complex data findings clearly.
- Location: Must reside in the United States (Preference given to candidates in Virginia or El Paso, TX for hybrid options).
