Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts for equity options trading platforms using SIEM tools
- Assess vulnerabilities in financial systems and recommend remediation actions
- Participate in penetration testing exercises under senior guidance
- Document security incidents and maintain compliance logs for regulatory reporting
- Collaborate with development teams to implement secure coding practices
- Stay updated on emerging threats targeting financial markets through continuous learning
- Conduct periodic security awareness training for trading desk staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
