Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts for equity options trading platforms using SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on financial applications
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, encryption protocols, and access management systems
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure coding practices in financial software
- Document security incidents and create remediation reports for regulatory compliance
- Stay current on emerging threats targeting financial markets and trading platforms
- Participate in tabletop exercises simulating cyberattacks on equity options systems
- Assist in developing security awareness training for financial traders and analysts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification preferred
- Familiarity with NIST cybersecurity framework and financial industry regulations
- Basic understanding of equity options trading concepts and market structures
- Experience with security tools: SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, IDS/IPS systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in high-pressure environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams including traders and developers
