Responsibilities
- Monitor equity options trading platforms for security vulnerabilities and suspicious activity using SIEM tools
- Assist in implementing and maintaining security controls for financial data systems
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Document security incidents and contribute to incident response procedures
- Stay updated on cybersecurity threats specific to financial markets and regulatory frameworks
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into trading applications
- Support compliance initiatives for FINRA and SEC cybersecurity requirements
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced financial environment
- Passion for continuous learning in cybersecurity technologies
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for compliance
