Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents within the Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and VPNs to maintain network integrity.
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident reports to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO standards.
- Assist in the forensic analysis of security breaches and provide actionable remediation recommendations.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire).
- Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, OSI model, and common protocols.
- Basic understanding of Linux/Windows operating systems and command line interfaces.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
