Responsibilities
- Assist in the 24/7 monitoring of network traffic for suspicious activities and potential threats.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity protocols and firewalls.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises under mentorship.
- Document security incidents, audit trails, and compliance reports accurately.
- Collaborate with the IT team to patch systems and mitigate security risks.
- Conduct regular security awareness training for internal staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills and a logical approach to problem-solving.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
- Willingness to obtain industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow in a high-pressure environment.
