Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct initial triage and investigation of security incidents to minimize potential impact.
- Perform daily vulnerability assessments and patch management on internal systems.
- Document security incidents and create detailed incident reports for stakeholders.
- Assist in the deployment of security patches and configuration of firewalls and IDS/IPS.
- Collaborate with the threat intelligence team to identify emerging threats and attack vectors.
- Participate in red team/blue team exercises and security drills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- CompTIA Security+ or Network+ certification is highly preferred (training provided if not held).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and VPNs.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows command line interfaces.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to obtain CISSP or CEH certification within 2 years of hire.
- Self-starter mentality with a genuine curiosity about cyber threats.
