Responsibilities
- Install and Configure: Deploy network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points, ensuring optimal performance.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex network connectivity issues, cable faults, and hardware malfunctions efficiently.
- Maintenance: Perform routine network audits, firmware updates, and security patches to ensure system integrity and compliance.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of network diagrams, configurations, and ticket resolutions.
- Support: Provide technical support and training to end-users regarding network access and security protocols.
- Project Work: Assist in the planning and execution of network upgrades and infrastructure expansion projects.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical certification.
- Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in network administration or technical support.
- Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing/switching protocols.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry networking equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in various environments, including server rooms and client sites.
- Driver's License: Valid, clean driver's license required for site visits.
