Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic, systems, and applications for suspicious activities and potential security breaches.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents and alerts in real-time.
- Assist in the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of security tools, firewalls, and SIEM systems.
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident reports to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, OSI Model).
- Familiarity with security principles, such as CIA triad, threat modeling, and risk assessment.
- Security+ or Network+ certification is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
