Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Assist in developing security policies and incident response procedures
- Analyze network traffic for suspicious activities using Wireshark and IDS tools
- Document security incidents and maintain compliance with NIST frameworks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
- Participate in threat intelligence analysis and security awareness training
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months)
- Basic knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
