Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk/Symantec)
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Document security incidents and remediation actions
- Assist with firewall configuration and network segmentation
- Participate in security awareness training campaigns
- Collaborate on threat hunting initiatives
- Update security documentation and compliance reports
Qualifications
- Associate/Bachelor's degree in IT/Cybersecurity or equivalent experience
- CompTIA Security+ or Network+ certification (preferred)
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP and network protocols
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems
- 0-2 years relevant experience/internship
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in remote environment
- Active DoD 8570 compliance training (within 90 days)
