Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk, ELK Stack) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct basic vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident reports in compliance with industry standards (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with the development team to implement secure coding practices and secure by design architectures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Earned or working towards industry certifications such as Security+, Network+, or CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+).
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems, command line interfaces, and basic networking concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated individual with a genuine passion for cybersecurity and ethical hacking.
