Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Investigate security incidents and document forensic analysis reports
- Implement security controls and patches to mitigate emerging threats
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security policies
- Stay current on cybersecurity trends and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or within 3 months of hire)
- Familiarity with NIST frameworks and cybersecurity fundamentals
- Basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) preferred
