Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust network security protocols to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms to detect and mitigate threats in real-time
- Lead incident response operations, including forensic investigation and recovery procedures
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop comprehensive security documentation and compliance reports for regulatory frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into IT infrastructure
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Professional certifications: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ (required)
- Expertise in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF) and cloud security platforms
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills under pressure
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain (for government-contracting roles)
