Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing under supervision
- Document security incidents using standardized reporting frameworks
- Assist with firewall and intrusion detection system configuration
- Participate in tabletop cybersecurity incident response drills
- Stay current on emerging threats through daily threat briefings
- Contribute to security awareness campaigns for non-technical staff
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to pass background check
