Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts for equity options trading platforms using SIEM tools
- Assess vulnerabilities in financial systems and implement basic remediation protocols
- Document security incidents and contribute to incident response procedures
- Perform regular security assessments of trading applications and supporting infrastructure
- Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure adherence to FINRA and SEC regulations
- Participate in phishing simulations and security awareness campaigns
- Assist in developing security policies for financial data protection
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles (CIA triad, defense-in-depth)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain FINRA Series 7 and 63 certifications within 6 months
- Interest in financial markets and trading systems
