Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM technologies to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct preliminary investigations into phishing attempts and suspicious network activities.
- Assist in the execution of penetration testing and vulnerability assessments under senior supervision.
- Support the implementation of security best practices and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Document incident reports and contribute to the continuous improvement of our security protocols.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure secure configuration of systems and networks.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field is a plus.
- Basic understanding of computer networks (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting security findings.
- Eagerness to learn and obtain industry-recognized certifications (e.g., Security+, CompTIA Network+).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
