Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events within the SIEM platform (Splunk/QRadar) to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Assist in the investigation and response to security incidents, including malware analysis and phishing attempts.
- Perform routine vulnerability scanning and patch management to ensure system integrity.
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate logs for compliance reporting.
- Support the implementation of security controls, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to educate staff on security best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI model, DNS, HTTP).
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a high-pressure, 24/7 environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
