Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and analyze system logs for potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
- Support the IT team in implementing security patches and updates across the network.
- Participate in penetration testing exercises and vulnerability assessments under senior supervision.
- Document security incidents, incidents reports, and maintenance logs accurately.
- Conduct basic security awareness training for internal staff members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with internal security policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- CompTIA Security+ or Network+ certification is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and basic Linux/Windows administration.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Self-motivated individual with a strong desire to learn and adapt to new security technologies.
