Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Investigate and document security incidents using forensic tools and protocols
- Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing initiatives
- Implement security controls and hardening procedures for network infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and CIS frameworks
- Create detailed incident reports and remediation plans
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Basic knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with security tools like Wireshark, Nmap, or Burp Suite
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 operations coverage
- Valid U.S. work authorization (visa sponsorship available if eligible)
